Amy Reyer currently works at XM Satellite Radio as Director of Women's Programming. At XM she has orchestrated comedy series and programming featuring funny women and learned first hand about how much hunger women have for comedy in their daily life. Amy was one of the University of Wisconsin students who helped to launch The Onion newspaper back in 1988. While her credits there included a fairly mediocre feature story about a Flamingo Boy, her real contribution was flirting with Ted, the Madison Dominoes pizza guy, who purchased the first ad space in the launch issue of the newspaper. And Ted wasn't cute at all.
Amy has produced interactive website content for The Discovery Channel, TLC, and Animal Planet as well as feature articles for women's magazines and trade publications. She hosted and produced an online home renovation series for TLC called Home Sweet Chaos and produced and hosted an online video game show called Trash or Treasure for The Discovery Channel. She also hosted and produced a women's issues television talk show called The Women's Club.
Amy has a Ph.D. in American Studies.
